Bairro do Rosário
Ground floor. Private terrace. Every room redesigned.
What Was Left Behind
An old Portuguese-style apartment with dated finishes, heavy wooden furniture, and a layout that hadn't been touched in decades. The bones were solid. The layout worked. Everything else had to go.

Everything Faces the Fire
We opened the whole floor around a contemporary fireplace. Dining table between the living area and kitchen island — no corridors, everything flows. There's a cat flap built into the patio doors. We're always pet-friendly.

Dark Granite. No Apologies.
A massive granite island — stovetop on one side, bar stools on the other. Handle-less cabinetry, letting the stone do the talking. Materials that look incredible and won't give you problems ten years from now.

Not Just a Corridor
The masks on the wall were collected over years, not bought in a set. Mirrored wardrobes with full-depth storage inside. The doors are original — we kept them for the character and the contrast.

A Gold Bathtub Behind Glass
The bathtub sits behind a glass partition, visible from the bedroom. Gold fixtures, matte-black shower hardware, a floating vanity on patterned tile. All the beauty without the upkeep.

Colour Where It Counts
A rich rug and textured bedding bring warmth to a neutral room. Floor-to-ceiling mirrored wardrobe — makes the space feel twice its size.

Clean Lines, Warm Light
White vanity, frameless glass shower, and floor tiles that imitate wood — the warmth without the water damage. Simple and built to last.
Built for Living, Not Just Looking.
The patio was too narrow to use — people tripped on the step down. We extended the footprint, laid wood-effect tiles, and converted the bedroom windows into full sliding doors. Pergola, BBQ station, and enough room to host.
